Canada Super Visa from India
The Super Visa lets parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens/PRs visit for up to 5 years per entry, multiple times over 10 years. It hinges on the inviting child meeting the minimum income (LICO) and the applicant holding valid medical insurance. We build both sides of the file. The final decision rests with IRCC.
What a strong Canada file needs
The documents and the story behind them — built to answer the officer's real questions.
Inviting child meets LICO income
Your Canadian child/grandchild must prove household income at or above the Low Income Cut-Off for their family size (Notice of Assessment, pay stubs, employment letter). This is the make-or-break factor.
Medical insurance (mandatory)
At least 1 year of Canadian medical insurance with minimum CAD 100,000 coverage, valid from entry. We help arrange compliant cover.
Invitation letter from the child
A signed letter promising financial support, plus proof of relationship and the child's status in Canada.
Applicant's ties & funds
Evidence the parent/grandparent will return — property, pension, dependents and a clear travel purpose.
Upfront medical exam
An IRCC panel-physician immigration medical is required. We sequence this correctly so it doesn't delay filing.
Why Canada visas get refused — and how we fix it
Most refusals come down to a handful of avoidable gaps. Here's what to get right.
Child's income below LICO
The most common Super Visa refusal. Fix: accurate NOA + co-signer income where allowed, presented clearly.
Non-compliant or missing insurance
Wrong coverage amount or duration. Fix: a policy meeting the exact CAD 100,000 / 1-year rule from entry date.
Weak ties / return doubts
Officer not satisfied the visit is temporary. Fix: pension, property and dependents evidence.
Incomplete relationship proof
Gaps linking applicant to the inviting child. Fix: birth certificates, family records, consistent names.
Canada super visa FAQs
How is the Super Visa different from a visitor visa?
A regular visitor visa (TRV) typically allows stays of up to 6 months. The Super Visa is for parents/grandparents only and allows stays of up to 5 years per entry over a 10-year validity — but requires the inviting child to meet a minimum income and the applicant to hold a year of Canadian medical insurance.
What income does my child in Canada need?
At or above the Low Income Cut-Off (LICO) for their family size, including you as a visitor. They prove it with their latest Notice of Assessment and employment/income documents. We check this before filing.
Is medical insurance really mandatory?
Yes. You must show at least one year of valid Canadian medical insurance with minimum CAD 100,000 coverage, effective from your date of entry. Without it, the application is refused.
Can you guarantee approval?
No — approval rests with IRCC. We make sure the income, insurance, relationship and ties evidence is complete and consistent so the application is as strong as it can be.
