Step 2
Arrange funds
Set up NZD 20,000/year living funds — many Indian students use the Funds Transfer Scheme (FTS) or a recognised education loan.

Medical + police checks
Complete medical and chest X-ray at a panel clinic; add a police clearance certificate if your course exceeds 24 months.
Step 4
Apply online
Lodge on Immigration Online with SOP and documents; pay the fee from NZD 850.
Step 5
Respond to INZ
Answer any interview call or document requests; a genuine, consistent story matters.
Step 6
AIP then eVisa
On Approval in Principle, pay tuition (if not already paid); the eVisa is then issued — no passport sticker.
