Montenegro is not in Schengen and has no visa office in India. You submit in person at the VFS Global Montenegro centre, and the file is couriered to the Consulate General in Istanbul for the decision, then couriered back, which is why the realistic time is two to three weeks rather than the usual 15 days. The fee is €35, about ₹3,798, for an adult and €17.5 for a child under 14, plus a VFS charge of ₹2,821. The means-of-support rule is explicit: at least €50 per day of the requested stay should be visible in your account. Multiple-entry visas can be issued for six months to five years, so a travel history helps.

The Montenegro visa fee is €35 (about ₹3,798) for adults and €17.5 (about ₹1,899) for minor children under 14, paid in INR at the VFS centre by Cash / UPI or Debit/Credit Card. A VFS service charge of ₹2,821 (incl. 9% SGST + 9% CGST) and a MANDATORY two-way courier fee of ₹5,859 apply per applicant — the courier carries the file to and from the Consulate General of Montenegro in Istanbul (Turkey). All fees are non-refundable regardless of the outcome and are subject to change — confirm the current amounts at the VFS Montenegro Visa Application Centre before applying.

What to gather
Having a document isn't the same as presenting it right — that's the part we handle.
The prescribed form; for minors a parent/legal guardian signs.
Validity must be at least 3 months longer than the validity period of the visa; undamaged, no alterations.
One recent colour photograph, 35×45 mm (3.5×4.5 cm), white background, no border, sharp focus, face taking up 70–80% of the frame, looking directly at the camera, neutral expression with teeth not visible, no headgear (religious headgear allowed case-by-case with chin, nose, eyes, ears and eyebrows uncovered). Not older than 1 month. Scanned or colour photocopies are NOT accepted; no staple marks.
Letter of guarantee from a natural person or letter of invitation from a legal entity / state authority / organiser of an international event, where applicable.
Certificate of a paid tourist arrangement, hotel or other accommodation reservation for the whole stay.
Supports the stated purpose and duration of the visit.
Valid travel/medical insurance covering the stay in Montenegro.
Return ticket reservation; if travelling by car, traffic and driving licence. Evidence of intent to return to India or onward to a third country.
Bank account balance certificate / statement, or other proof of regular income, cash, traveller's cheques or credit cards. You must hold at least €50 for each day of the requested stay.
