The money, honestly
What you spend.
What simply stays yours.
Most agents blur these two numbers together. The visa asks you to show funds — that money remains yours to live on in Romania. What you actually spend on the visa process is far smaller.

Romania student-visa FAQs
Why do people choose Romania for MBBS?
EU-recognised English-taught medicine at €5,000–9,000/year — far below Western Europe. Admission still runs through the Ministry's Letter of Acceptance, which no one can skip.
Can I show the $4,000 as a sudden deposit?
Risky — the statement should look like genuinely available family funds, not a balance parked days before filing. Build it up early.
Can I work while studying?
Yes — up to 6 hours/day without a separate work permit, under the March 2024 law change.
Can I stay after graduation?
Yes — the Immigration Inspectorate (IGI) can extend your right of stay by 9 months after graduation, specifically to look for a job, complete employment formalities or start a business. You submit the documents proving you completed your studies.
