Apostille your civil documents
Birth certificate and police clearance certificate need MEA apostille; allow 2–4 weeks including PCC issuance.
Step 3
Prove funds, insurance, accommodation
12 months of funds at the 2026 rate for your age band, health insurance cover, and an accommodation proof in Austria.
Step 4
File at the Austrian Embassy, New Delhi
Submit the residence-permit application in person; the embassy forwards your file to the deciding authority in Austria.
Step 5
Wait for the Austrian authority's decision
