Get admission to an accredited programme
The enrolment/admission letter must be issued in Czech — universities issue this format routinely for visa files.
Step 2
Register by email in a window
Email the embassy during a published registration window (passport number as the subject line, admission proof attached); slots are capped at 1,200 study applications a year and the assigned date cannot be changed.
Step 3
Prepare apostilled documents + Czech translations
Police clearance certificate and academic documents need apostille and certified Czech translations; some universities also require nostrification (recognition) of your previous education.
Step 4
Submit in person at the New Delhi embassy
Personal submission with a short interview about your study plans; pay CZK 2,500 (≈₹11,300) in INR at the counter.
Step 5
Wait for the Ministry of Interior decision
Statutory 60 days; keep your phone and email reachable — the embassy may request additional documents.
Step 6
Buy comprehensive insurance and collect the visa
Show comprehensive health insurance with at least €400,000 cover per insured event, from an insurer authorised in Czechia, valid for the whole stay at collection; after arrival, register with the Foreign Police within 3 working days.
