The Full Story
Harjeet is an ITI electrician from Jalandhar who worked in Dubai for 4 years before returning. He had no formal degree but solid trade skills. Australia PR seemed out of reach — until we showed him the skills assessment + state nomination path.
We enrolled him in Offshore Technical Skills Record (OTSR) with TRA (Trades Recognition Australia). They assessed his skills via documentation + video interview. He got a positive TRA outcome.
With PTE 65, positive skills assessment, and age 29 — his points were 75. Victoria's nomination added 5 more = 80. He got ITA, filed the 190 visa, and got PR in 11 months.
Challenges They Faced
- 1No formal engineering degree (ITI only)
- 2Skills assessment for trade qualifications is complex
- 3PTE 65 was his ceiling (couldn't crack 79)
- 4State nomination is competitive
