This is where budget realism does the heavy lifting. Show stamped bank statements for the last three months — a stable balance, not a lump sum that landed the week before you applied. Back it with ITRs or salary proof so the money has a visible origin. Frame 04Insurance that actually covers the highlands

Schengen rules require travel medical insurance with a minimum of EUR 30,000 in cover, valid across the whole Schengen area for your entire stay, including emergency treatment and repatriation. For Iceland, read the fine print for one thing photographers forget: the interior highlands, glacier walks and F-roads. A policy that excludes "adventure activities" or off-road travel can leave a gap exactly where Iceland's best frames are. Buy a plan that names the region and the activity level of your trip.
