- 1Passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your intended date of entry into Singapore, with blank pages for the visa.
- 2Jurisdiction matters: applicants from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Puducherry, Karnataka and Lakshadweep apply under the Consulate General of Singapore, Chennai; applicants from Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, UP, Bihar, West Bengal and other northern/eastern states apply under the Singapore High Commission, New Delhi (submitted at VFS Chandigarh).
- 3If your passport was issued outside your current jurisdiction, you must submit proof of residence (latest electricity/gas/telephone bill in your name, property documents/rent agreement, or Aadhaar card) showing an address within that jurisdiction.
- 4Apply within 30 days prior to your arrival in Singapore — the entry visa is meant to be obtained close to travel.
- 5Photo: two recent colour passport-size photographs, taken within the last 3 months, plain white background, matte/semi-matte (non-reflective) finish; must NOT have been used for any previous Singapore visa. Online/e-Service photo dimension is 400×514 pixels (jpg/jpeg/heic/heif/png, max 8MB).
- 6All documents must be submitted on A4-size paper only. Incomplete or illegible forms/documents can cause rejection or delay.
- 7A visa does not guarantee entry — at the checkpoint you must still hold a valid passport, sufficient funds, and a confirmed onward/return ticket.

Form 14A — Application for Visa / Entry / Re-Entry Permit

No. A business visit visa is only for short business activities such as meetings and conferences. To take up employment in Singapore you need a work pass issued by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) — that is a separate process.

+Who has to sign my Singapore business invitation, and what must it say?
The inviting company signs it, on its letterhead, naming you personally, the exact dates, the purpose of the meetings and — crucially — who is paying for what. Officers verify these: a letter with no signatory title, no company registration detail and no reachable phone number is worse than no letter, because it fails a verification call. Your own side matters just as much: a leave sanction or board resolution, your employment or directorship proof, and a travel history that fits the seniority the letter claims for you.
+Can I attend meetings, sign contracts or get paid on this visa?
Meetings, negotiations, conferences, trade fairs and training you attend are normally fine. What is not permitted is gainful employment — being paid by an entity in Singapore, or doing work that a local would otherwise be hired for, even unpaid in some categories. That line is where business visas get refused and, worse, where they get cancelled at the border. If your trip involves anything close to it, tell us the actual plan and we will tell you which route it needs.

Three things sit between today and your trip: preparing the file properly, waiting for an appointment, and the mission's own processing. Singapore currently states 3–5 working days, excluding the day of submission (longer during peak periods). for the decision itself. We control the first, which is usually days. The middle depends on slot releases. The third is entirely the mission's and no consultant can shorten it — anyone telling you otherwise is selling something they cannot deliver.
