The Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) (subclass 601) is a fast-processed online visa for short visits to Australia (tourism or business) — but eligibility is restricted to a limited list of passports. Indian passport holders are NOT eligible for ETA; they must apply for the Visitor visa (subclass 600) instead. These requirements apply to ALL Australia visa types. Violations mean your application will be rejected — read each one carefully.

- 3If you hold dual citizenship with an ETA-eligible country, you may apply on that passport directly.

- Passport holders from ETA-eligible countries only: USA, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Brunei and a small list of others
- Short visits — tourism, business meetings, family visits up to 3 months

- Indian passport holders (must apply for subclass 600 Visitor visa)
- Most other passport holders globally
- Anyone needing to stay longer than 3 months per visit
- Anyone intending to work or study formally

Australia Work and Holiday Visa (Subclass 462) — Informational
Informational guide. The Work and Holiday visa (subclass 462) allows young Indians aged 18–30 to work and travel in Australia for up to 12 months, but India has a ballot-based quota. SureshotVisa does not process work visas.
Australia Working Holiday Visa (Subclass 417) — Informational
Informational guide. The Working Holiday visa (subclass 417) is NOT available to Indian passport holders. Indian citizens should refer to the Work and Holiday visa (subclass 462) via the annual ballot.
