South Korea's long-term study routes are the D-2 visa (for degree programmes — associate, bachelor's, master's, doctoral and research at a Korean university) and the D-4 visa (for general training and language courses). They are for stays longer than 90 days and require a Standard Admission Certificate (issuance number) from the Korean university/institution, along with that institution's Business Registration Certificate. You also submit your highest academic records (apostilled), a tuberculosis (TB) test report from a designated diagnostic institute, financial proof (yours or a linear family member's), and the signed Health Condition and Declaration forms. As with all Korean visas for India, you fill the application on the Korea Visa Portal, then submit the printed, signed form and documents through VFS Global to the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, New Delhi. The single-entry long-term visa fee is ₹5,100.

Entry type (single / double / multiple) is granted at the discretion of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, New Delhi — applying for multiple entry does not guarantee it. The VFS service charge (₹1,380) and optional courier (₹550) are additional and payable in cash/credit/debit card at submission.
