South Korea does not offer a visa-on-arrival or e-visa to ordinary Indian passport holders, so a sticker visa is required before you fly. The tourist category is the C-3-9 short-term visit visa, valid for stays of less than 90 days. You first complete the application on the official Korea Visa Portal, then print and sign it and submit it — with your passport, photo, financials and the mandatory Health Condition and Declaration forms — at a VFS Global Korea Visa Application Centre in New Delhi or Kolkata. The Embassy of the Republic of Korea, New Delhi is the decision authority. Indian applicants can be granted single, double or multiple entry at the Embassy's discretion. This guide is for genuine tourism; if you are visiting family or friends, use the family-visit (C-3-1 B) route instead.

Entry type (single / double / multiple) is granted at the discretion of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, New Delhi — applying for multiple entry does not guarantee it. Submit at VFS Global
Submit the printed form and documents at the VFS Korea Visa Application Centre (New Delhi 09:00–13:00 for individuals). Pay the visa fee (₹3,400 single entry) plus the ₹1,380 VFS service charge.
Processing by the Embassy
VFS forwards the file to the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, New Delhi, which decides the outcome and entry type. Indicative time: 10 working days (5 express) in New Delhi.
Collect your passport
Collect the passport from VFS or receive it by optional courier (₹550). Check the visa sticker (entries, validity, stay length) before you travel.

A single-entry C-3-9 visa allows a stay of up to 90 days. A double-entry visa allows 30 days per entry within a 6-month validity, and multiple-entry stays follow the granted validity.
A 6-month personal bank statement and your Income Tax Returns (2 years for individuals; 3 years' personal ITR for business owners, company ITR optional). If you have no ITR, attach a written explanatory letter.
