Short-term study in the UK is covered under two routes: (1) Standard Visitor visa (up to 6 months) for most short courses, PLAB/OSCE tests, clinical attachments, and academic research; (2) Short-term study visa (£200) specifically for English Language courses lasting 6–11 months. Full Student visa is for longer courses at licensed sponsors.

All UK visa fees are set in GBP by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) and paid online during the GOV.UK application. The INR amount depends on the GBP/INR exchange rate on payment day. Additional costs: biometrics and VFS service charges at the Visa Application Centre, optional priority/super-priority services, TB test (if required), and document translation fees. Non-refundable regardless of outcome.
