Special Instructions — Read Before Applying
These requirements apply to ALL Estonia visa types. Violations mean your application will be rejected — read each one carefully.
- 1Apply at least 15 calendar days BEFORE your travel date. Maximum lead time: 6 months (9 months for seafarers). Apply too late and the Embassy may not be able to process in time.
- 2DO NOT purchase flight tickets before the visa is issued — VFS / Embassy explicitly warn against pre-purchase. Submit only provisional bookings / itineraries.
- 3All financial documents (bank statements, salary slips, ITR) must be ORIGINALS in A4 format, signed and stamped by the issuing bank.
- 410 fingerprints are collected at submission unless previously taken within the last 59 months OR you're under 12 / physically impossible to fingerprint.
- 5Estonia must be your MAIN destination in Schengen for the Embassy to accept the application. If your trip splits time equally across Schengen states, apply through the country of first entry.
- 6If you've been refused a Schengen visa before, address the rejection reason directly in your cover letter.
Who Can Apply
- Indian professionals attending meetings, training, or negotiations with Estonian business partners
- Executives exploring Estonian markets or partnerships (e-Residency, fintech, IT services)
- Indians invited by an Estonian-registered company on official letterhead
Not eligible under this visa:
- Anyone planning paid work in Estonia (apply for a Type D Long-Stay work permit via the Estonian Police and Border Guard Board)
- Travellers wanting to stay >90 days in any 180-day window
Previously Refused?
SPECIAL OFFERYour Estonia visa refusal isn't the end — it's a fixable situation.
Most refusal letters read like code. We decode the real reason behind your refusal — often different from what the letter says — and rebuild your case with a refusal-specific strategy. Refused applicants pay the same fee as first-time applicants, and we back it with our dedicated refusal-rebuild process.

Schengen Business Visa Eligibility Check
Answer 10 questions focused on business visa criteria. Business applications face different scrutiny — the embassy wants clear purpose, genuine business relationships, and verifiable host.
Who is inviting you to Denmark / the Schengen country?
What form will the invitation take?
How long have you had a business relationship with the Danish host?
How long is your business trip?
What's your role in your Indian company?
What's your Indian company's annual turnover?
Helps establish legitimacy of the business case.
How often do you travel internationally for business?
Have you used a Schengen visa before?
Any previous visa refusals (business or otherwise)?
Your return-to-India anchor?
Indicative only — final decision is always with the Embassy.
💡 Pro Tips
- Day-by-day meeting schedule from the Estonian inviter is critical — generic 'business discussions' invitations get rejected.
- If your trip includes other Schengen states for meetings, list them all in the invitation and cover letter — but only if Estonia is the main destination.
- e-Residency / fintech / IT business letters carry strong weight with the Embassy — Tallinn welcomes these sectors.
- Multiple-entry visas (1–5 years) are common for repeat business travellers with clean Schengen history.
Common Rejection Reasons
- 1.Invitation letter without a day-by-day meeting schedule
- 2.Cover letter from Indian employer missing or generic
- 3.Invitation not on Estonian company letterhead, or missing inviter contact details
- 4.Mismatch between trip purpose and applicant's Indian role
