The Finland business visa is a Schengen Type C short-stay visa for Indian professionals travelling to Finland for meetings, conferences, negotiations, training or trade visits for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. You need an invitation from the inviting company in Finland plus an employer cover letter, and you submit the file in person at the Finland Visa Application Centre (VFS) after completing the Schengen form. Travel medical insurance of at least €30,000 is mandatory.

Prepare the employer cover letter
Have your Indian employer issue a letter confirming your identity, the purpose of travel, the period/place of visit, and approved leave.
Complete the Schengen form and buy insurance
Fill, date and sign the form, then buy travel medical insurance with min. €30,000 cover for the whole Schengen area.

The estimated processing time is up to 15 working days for individuals (up to 20 working days for groups of more than 15 people). During high season or in individual cases the Embassy can extend processing to 30 days, and may request extra documents or an interview. Working days exclude weekends and Finnish/Indian public holidays. Apply well in advance — up to 6 months before travel.
Yes. Every applicant (including children) must hold travel medical insurance with minimum coverage of €30,000, valid for the full trip and the entire Schengen area (worldwide is also accepted; 'Finland only' is not). It must cover sudden illness, accident, on-site assistance, medical repatriation and repatriation in case of death. Diplomatic/official passport holders and applicants under Directive 2004/38/EC are exempt.
You can submit no earlier than 6 months before your planned departure (9 months for seafarers travelling on duty). The processing clock starts only when you submit your application and supporting documents in person at the VAC or mission.
You need an invitation from the inviting company in Finland on official letterhead, stamped and dated, with the company's contact details and an authorised signatory. It must state your name, the travel dates and the reason for the invitation. You also need a cover letter from your Indian employer confirming your identity, the purpose, and the period/place of the visit.
No. A Schengen business visa is only for short business activities such as meetings, conferences, training and negotiations. Taking up paid employment in Finland requires a national (Type D) residence permit for work, which SureshotVisa does not process.
