Embassy fees are set in EUR by UDI — the INR charged at VFS varies with the daily exchange rate. VFS service and courier fees are fixed in INR. Family members of EU/EEA nationals, pupils/students/teachers on educational trips, and researchers are exempt from the embassy fee (the fee must be paid up front in the UDI portal and refunded at appointment). All fees are non-refundable regardless of outcome.

Generally NO — Indian nationals are not on the Schengen common ATV list for most transit routes. However, individual airline / route policies may require one. ALWAYS confirm with your airline and the Embassy before booking your ticket.
ATV (Type A) keeps you strictly in the airport's international zone — you cannot exit immigration. Transit Visa (Type C) lets you enter Schengen territory for up to 5 days for transit purposes (change airports, overnight outside airport, etc.).
It depends on whether the terminals are inside the international zone or require passing immigration. For most OSL transits (Pier and Non-Schengen Pier), travellers remain airside — no ATV needed. But if you need to clear immigration to change zones, you need a Type C Transit Visa.
No. ATV is strictly for the international transit zone. Exiting requires a Type C Transit Visa or Tourist Visa.
