Must be a real, signed job offer / work contract — not a letter of intent. For Skilled Worker, salary must meet UDI's minimum thresholds (varies by industry & qualification).

Bachelor's degree or equivalent; vocational qualifications must match the job. May need NOKUT recognition for some professions.
Regulated professions (medical, engineering, teaching, law) require recognition by the relevant Norwegian authority. Check hkdir.no/en/foreign-education.

Apply online at the UDI portal
selvbetjening.udi.no → choose the relevant work permit category → upload documents → pay the NOK 6,300 fee → print the cover letter.
