A Switzerland Student Visa (Short Stay, Type C) is for Indian students who will be studying in Switzerland for less than 90 days. This covers short courses, language programs, exchange semesters, summer schools, academic conferences, and similar stays. Good news — the visa fee is generally WAIVED for students (only VFS service charges apply). For courses longer than 90 days, apply for a Type D Long-Stay National Visa instead.

No. The Short-Stay Student Visa does not permit gainful employment — paid or unpaid. If you plan to work part-time alongside studies, you'll need a Long-Stay Type D Student Visa (for courses longer than 90 days) and separate employment authorization.
Short-Stay (Type C) covers up to 90 days in any 6-month period. If your course is exactly 90 days and you don't plan to extend, Type C is correct. For anything longer, apply for the Type D National Long-Stay Visa.
Yes. If your parents or a guardian are funding you, include: their last 3 months' bank statements (A4 with bank stamp), ITRs, a signed affidavit of financial support, and proof of relationship (e.g., birth certificate). This is standard.
