The Ukraine Tourist Visa is a short-stay 'C type' visa for Indian passport holders travelling to Ukraine for tourism and sightseeing without an invitation from a Ukrainian referent. It allows a stay of up to 90 days within any 180-day period. Applications are submitted through VFS Global in India (your centre depends on the state where your passport was issued), but the form is filled at the VFS centre itself and the decision is taken by the Embassy of Ukraine, New Delhi — VFS plays no role in the decision.

Consular fees are published in USD for information only and are PAID IN INR at the Embassy of Ukraine exchange rate — confirm the live INR amount on the VFS Global Ukraine India page before paying. URGENT processing costs DOUBLE the normal consular fee. On top of the consular fee you pay the VFS service fee (₹2,970) and the mandatory form-filling charge (₹2,640) per applicant. If the Embassy calls you for an interview, a video-conferencing charge of ₹3,840 applies. Children under 6 years are exempt from the consular fee. All fees (consular + VFS) are NON-REFUNDABLE regardless of the visa decision.

What to gather
Having a document isn't the same as presenting it right — that's the part we handle.
The Embassy mandates the form is completed at VFS against the ₹2,640 charge, then signed by the applicant. Minors under 18 are signed for by a parent/legal guardian.
Must be valid for the intended stay; carry the original.
Colour, ≤6 months old, plain light background, face 70–80% of frame, no tinted glasses, mouth closed.
Copies of any previous Ukraine, USA, UK, Schengen and Australia visas.
Valid residence permit/equivalent if you reside in a country different from your country of nationality.
Minimum €30,000 cover, valid on the territory of Ukraine for the whole stay. A Schengen/Europe-only policy that does not name Ukraine is NOT accepted.
Bank-stamped and signed, minimum balance of USD 2,500. May be supplemented by cash in hryvnia/convertible currency or cashable bank cards.
One page of your original cheque book showing the account number, with the bank's stamp and the responsible officer's signature — submitted alongside the bank statement.

The Embassy may request an interview (video-conferencing charge ₹3,840). Missing it can extend processing to ~30 working days.

A short-stay C-type tourist visa allows up to 90 days within any 180-day period. The visa is typically issued valid for 6 months (and can be single, double or multiple entry), with the exact validity set by the Embassy based on your documents.
You must prove sufficient funds to cover your stay — generally an original, bank-stamped 3-month statement with a minimum balance of about USD 2,500. Ukraine also specifically requires one page of your original cheque book showing the account number with the bank's stamp.
Yes. You must hold travel medical insurance of at least €30,000 that is explicitly valid on the territory of Ukraine. A Schengen or Europe-only policy that does not name Ukraine is not accepted — this is one of the most common reasons applications are rejected.
It depends on where your passport was issued. West & South India states (Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and nearby UTs) apply at Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai or Hyderabad. North & East India states (Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, UP, Rajasthan, MP, West Bengal, Bihar, the North-East, etc.) apply at New Delhi, Chandigarh or Kolkata.
Normal processing is usually a minimum of 10 working days; urgent is a minimum of 5 working days but costs double the consular fee. If documents are missing or an interview is missed, it can extend to around 30 working days.
The Embassy of Ukraine takes the decision and may refuse for reasons such as insufficient funds, insurance that doesn't name Ukraine, or a weak travel purpose.
