Embassy fees are set in EUR by the Royal Danish Embassy — the actual INR charged at VFS varies with the daily exchange rate. VFS service and courier fees are fixed in INR. All fees payable in Cash / Card / UPI and are non-refundable regardless of visa outcome. Approximate total for an adult tourist/business visa: €90 + ₹2,484 (~₹10,584 at current exchange rates).

Transit Visa lets you EXIT the airport during your layover (stay in Copenhagen overnight, visit the city). Airport Transit Visa is valid only INSIDE the airport transit zone.
If your layover is <24h and you remain within the airport transit zone, you generally need an Airport Transit Visa (still mandatory for Indian passport holders). If you plan to exit the airport, a Transit Visa is required.
Yes — a valid US, UK, Canada, or Australia visa (or any Schengen visa issued in the last 3 years) strengthens your transit case as it shows your final destination already vetted you.
Typically up to 5 days — just enough to cover layovers, missed connections, or brief stopovers. For longer stays, apply for a tourist visa.
